Question about food diary

I noticed when you have passed your daily goal of any one of the macro-nutrients (protein, fat, carbs) that it puts the remaining number in red with a - sign. I get this considering you wanted to get that amount and no more, but my question is: Why do they not continue counting those extra say carbs towards your total calories? If you have already consumed these carbs then it still counts toward your total calories consumed. I know you could adjust your diet so you take in less carbs as the day goes on, but its tough to stick to your carb/protein/fat ratio without eating certain foods to get to your goals. Anyway, is there a way to have them continue counting your calories even after you consumed more than the allotted nutrient. Any help/suggestions would be great.

Thanks

Maybe I'm not understanding you correctly, but even if you go over a macronutrient allotment, the diary still counts your calories. It won't stop counting any calories from carbs just because you ate too many. All the red signifies is that you're over your daily goal, but otherwise the diary works the same, it just changes the color on your total and adds a "-" sign. Nothing else changes.
