Options
HI everyone, since I'm new at this I could not find anywhere on this site how many calories you burn doing some house clean.!
I found another site where they say that you lose for 1/2 hours ,,, of mooping -129cal. and for vacuuming 119 cal.
would that be okay???
Please help ??!

yes that would be ok, mfp does not list every possable calorie burner so you may have to reach out to other sites to get what you need and then just add it as aerobic activity here are are few i found to be very helpful.

It might just be me but I do not log housecleaning or walking while at work (and I am on my feet 12 hours and walk alot). I also do not log gardening. I just list that I am an active individual and figure that is counted in my daily calories. I personally only log exercise that I count as exercise (p90 x, hiking, biking, softball, jogging, etc) with the intent to exercise. That is my preference :)

MFP lists cleaning as an exercise. You should be able to add it to your diary.

Cleaning is a viable exercise. It is movement you would not have normally done.

If walking is part of the daily routine, it is right to consider that when you choose your activity level. Different people have different needs. I count gardening--if I am working hard (clearing brush, turning ground, etc.). I don't count planting flowers in loose soil as anything but fun :)

To Kellycasey5 : I understand what you mean, but it's because I did go walking this morning and I was supposed to do some cardio tonight but instead I thought maybe I should do my cleaning and that would count a burning calories.....
    Maybe I'm wrong I don't know!

I think your are correct. If you did heavy housework everyday I would not add that as exercise but then you would not be sedentary/light active but active or very active. Its not part of your normal activities so add it!
