Well I need to vent a little. I can go to the gym and bust my butt. But when it comes to changing my eating habits thats where I fail and can't seem to get past day 1. I don't know what it is. I don't know if its because I'm a such a hugh picky eater or if its bc my sister has been home on summer break and its harder to cook for two then it is for one. I'm hoping I will get back to eating better soon. Every week I had pizza and mcdonalds atleast two days a week!!!! So yeah its my fault but why is it so hard!

It might be helpful to think more about cooking for yourself than giving up the foods you like. If you make a burger out of fresh ground beef and bake some sweet potato fries, it's still going to be a million times healthier than what you get at McDonald's. Make a pizza with some whole wheat dough, fresh sauce and grated cheese! (They're both pretty easy as far as cooking goes.) It can be especially hard to steer clear of the drive-thru when a craving lines up with actual hunger. You can head it off at the pass by grazing on healthy stuff during the day so your stomach doesn't go empty and planning dinners in advance. If you've got carrots and grapes in the office fridge and unsalted peanuts in your car, it will be a lot easier to wait until you can grill up that much-deserved burger at home!0

I totally agree with this! There's no point denying yourself the things you want, because you'll just end up binging later. Learn how to make healthier versions of what you already love - it won't seem like you're giving things up because you still get to have them! It may not be salad and steamed veg all the time like a 'perfect' person, but who can live up to being perfect all the time anyway?? Certainly not me!!0 -
I'm the same, I completely have the motivation to exercise. Sometimes two exercise classes a day, Sundays are off, so I'll probably do 7-9 exercise classes a week.
The calorie intake is the problem with me, It's eating out and alcohol for me! I find giving up wine soooo hard and all my social occasions involve eithe food or drink0 -
Make changes a little at a time. First, stop going to fast food or getting pizza. Okay, go once in a while. But even then make healthier choices (easier with pizza than McDs, lol). Then, start changing what you fix for yourself from high fat, processed foods to lots of fresh fruits and veggies, lean proteins, and whole grains (even that can be one step at a time). Also look at your portion size. Eating too much of good foods can still keep the weight on. Get used to the standard portions - 3 oz of meat (about the size of a deck of cards), 2 oz of pasta (about the size of your fist, once cooked), 1/2 c rice (go brown!), 1 oz of cheese (the size of a domino), etc. Look at it as a bunch of little changes rather than one big change, it'll trick you mind into dealing with it better. Also, instead of breaking habits, you are changing them. It's much easier to get rid of a bad habit when you replace it with something else!0
