Starting my journey for a new begining!!!!

I have just joined MFP. I'am a 26 yr old mother of 2 boys. I have read so many success stories, and have been inspired by every one of them that I have read! I have been over weight pretty much all my life. I have tried so many different ways to lose weight ( Even the wrong way that were not good for my body) I found the website from a post on FB from one of my friends. I believe I will be able to lose weight now. I did not have money to join these other websites.. I'am thankful for a free place for people to help each other lose weight! My starting weight is 205 and I'am at my heaviest weight ever! Hopefully I will be posting a success story of my own here soon. To all of those out there who have lost weight WAY TO GO! Keep up the great work! I will post before pix soon as I figure out how to.

    Hi - welcome! Feel free to add me as a friend... my name is also Heather and I'm 25 :) hehe. Yep MFP is a really great free resource... I couldn't afford all the expensive websites!

    30 Day Shred is a fitness programme by Jillian Michaels - never tried it to be honest but people on here rave about it.

    Welcome to myfitness pal.

    I like you had a starting weight of around 202lbs and am currently around 156lbs after 7 months of using myfitnesspal. I went from a size 20 and am now a size 14.

    I also tried many things and none of them worked!! This is the first place where i felt the motivation i needed and the help and advice i need too - ALL FOR FREE!!

    People on here are so helpful and inspiring and i have made many great friends!!

    Welcome I am the mother of 3 boys. I started out at 215 after my third baby. I've got down to 168 now from jan. Largely through exercise and making better food choices but also watching portion sizes. I still allow myself treats cos I think you would go mad without them. This site is great for support and motivation. 30 day shred is a great workout DVD but is a bit of a killer if you are new to exercise. I am on level 3 now and although I play Netball and run also this level is hard going but worth it.
  • Thank you guys, I broke things off with my fiance 6 months ago.. I have went down hill from then (weight wise).. Things have been really hard for me being a single momma of 2 boys, but now things are gonna change! I have no support with family but I can see how much support everyone has been giving on here and thats what I need to change!

    welcome!!! I came here this June weighing 218lbs :-( I had started doing whey protein shakes daily and doing the biggest loser bootcamp. I am now at 202/201lbs and Ive moved onto doing turbo Fire!
