This is from the I'm lucky to be alive files or don't try this at home files. LOL. I was remembering what I ate when I was getting my BA and losing the Freshmen 30. Yes, it was 30 for me and I am 4'11'' ;?P I lost it but, OMG! I had a calorie-counting book and a nutritional almanac but this was the early 90s, so I wasn't on the Internet for myfitnesspal or on WW and I paid attention just to calories, not to nutrients.

;?P I was exercising 1-2 hours a day (usually 2), so I lost that 30 lbs in 3 months. But, my goodness, that was not a very healthy way to eat! Anyway, out of curiousity and boredom, I put it in the tracker.

B: Total cereal, milk, some form of fruit. Diet coke.

S: Snickers Bar, Diet Coke

L: Small McDonald's Hamburger, Small Fries, Diet Coke. (Okay sometimes I went to Subway)

D: Healthy Choice Lemon Pepper Fish dinner.

Other: If I was lucky, I'd eat a yogurt or another piece of fruit in there somewhere. Massive amts. of diet coke.

Here's the breakdown: not too horrible on the macro-nutrients, actually but the micros are probably bad.

TOTAL: 1,486 (cals) 240g (carbs) 41g (protein) 45g (fat) 70mg (chol.) 1,776mg (sodium) 100g (sugars) 20g (fiber)

and the exercise...

Walking, 3.0 mph, mod. pace 189 (cals) 60 (mins)
Aerobics, step, with 6-8 inch step 486 (cals) 60 (mins)

When I was getting my MA and in my own apartment, not a dorm, it was worse.

B: Total, milk, fruit

S: Yogurt, fruit

L: Snickers Bar, Diet Coke

D: 1 (maybe 2 but usually 1) Taco Bell small, 89cent crunchy tacos).

1,051 (cals) 157g (carbs) 37g (fat) 33g (protein) 85mg (chol) 1,235mg (sod.) 84g (sugars) 18g (fiber)

I wasn't exercising as much here 1/2 hr to an hour and not as often. I wasn't gaining weight, though. I'm probably lucky to be alive. ;?)

Anyway, I'm grateful to WW for giving me easy guidelines for eating healthy and to Myfitnesspal for the great android app to help me keep track of the macro nutrients and sodium, which I have to do for health reasons.

/Sorry for the length
