New me=new career?
So I think I have reached an early mid-life crisis (I am 30 y/o) or I am just really bored. I am thinking about changing professions. Since becomming a healthier version of me I have become interested in becomming a personal trainer. Also, some of my mini goals were treating myself to facials and whatnot. I admire the work of the esthetician. My question for any and all MFPs out there is this- what do you have to do to become a CPT (Certified Personal Trainer)? I have searched the web and found the requirements (18 y/o, HS diploma, CPR certification) but I do not understand WHAT you have to do. Is there a college degree? Or just a certification class? A program to attend? As for the esthetician career, I have found several colleges but cannot find the course work within the programs. So my question is how long is the program? I am not sure if this is the right place to post this. Any insight from experienced/knowledgeable individuals would be much appreciated. Thank you.
