Buffalo milk versus cow milk

Hi I have a question regarding these two milk types. I use cow's milk (whole not fat free) in my diet. I was playing around with the settings of my food diary and added 'cholesterol' as an nutrient to be tracked.
The info provided by site shows '1200' cholesterol for 1 cup of whole cow's milk. I compared it with buffalo's milk 1 cup and it shoes only '46' cholesterol.
Is that right info? Is there really so much difference?
Where as calories shown are:
Cow's- 150
Buffalo's- 237
I am curious if this info is right. Please help

Considering the difference in meat between bison and bovine it is probably correct. Buffalo is awesome!0

I have never tried buffalo milk... Where do you find something like that?0

i drink whole (raw) milk too. Where in the heck would you get buffalo milk? Would you really drink it? I imagine it might be more cholesterol just judging from the difference in the animal's size/needs as a calf.
my son drinks goats milk, I think the nutritional profile is similar but the fats are more similar to human milk and easily digestible.0 -
i just googled it b/c I'm curious now - buffalo's milk does have lower cholesterol content - interesting

And addendum: I understand the buffalo milk available in the USA is from Water Buffalo, not the American Bison. So I amend my statement. American Bison is awesome.0 -
I am from India and buffalo milk is a sort of staple around here ( I looked over at wiki and according to it they are domestic water buffaloes and 97% of their total world population can be found in South Asia itself...that explains why their milk is popular here.)
Buffalo's milk is actually whiter and better in taste from cow's milk and seems to be more popular around the area I live. My family had to specially ask our diary man to supply cow milk as it is supposed to be more healthier with less fat content.0 -
There used to be a farm near me that made buffalo milk yogurt. It was divine. But it was also very, very expensive, $2.50 for an 8 oz yogurt. The farm unfortunately went out of business.0

I looked around on other sites and will share for those who are interested...
There seems to be a difference in cholesterol level by 5-2 times (data is very varied) cow milk being on higher sides.
Also some sites state that 1 cup (244g) whole cow's milk has 33mg cholesterol...that is lot less lower than 1200mg. This data is according to fatfreekitchen, nutrition.self and wikipedia.
Other sites are stating it around 800mg. So much variation in data0
