I'm new here. I want to lose 10 lbs. (138--->128). I'm a 30 yr old female and 5'1". I'm wondering how long the shred takes to do each day? Right now I'm doing about 35 minutes (4 miles) on my elliptical. I figure I'm burning about 300 cal per day with that. I'm just wanting to step my exercise up a bit. Thank you all!

About 25 minutes! I'm on L2D2 of the 30 Day Shred...it's not easy, but it sure is FUN! I say go for it.0

It's a 20 mins workout. With warm up and cool down, about 30 mins total. Great workout!0

It takes about 25 minutes per day and it's a tough workout!!0

From warm up to cool down, it is 27 minutes. I typically burn 260-270 calories in that time, so it is a great workout for the burn. However, I find that my fitness levels have increased tenfold, and I'm finished with the full 30 days in 3 days. I've not lost 10 pounds, but lots of inches so far. I started ~171 pounds and now I'm down to ~167 pounds.0

im 5'7 , weigh 203 lbs, and i just started the shred. of course its different for everyone, but i wear a heart rate monitor and 27 minutes of the shred video (which, oddly enough, is how long it ends up being) only burns 181 calories for me. thats probably because its cardio and strenght, so the heart rate goes down in between cardio sets.
on the other hand, when i go all out for 30 minutes on the elliptical, i burn about 250.
if youre only looking to lose the last 10 lbs, you may need strength training in your routine as well. so id add the shred in the morning, maybe, and then do the elliptical or wahtever cardio you've been doing at night.0 -

I just did a complete round of it and have started a second with higher weights. I usually time it to about 27 minutes, and I burn 130-200 calories depending on the level. I've noticed HUGE improvements in muscle tone and definition since I started it (especially in my abs and arms), though I think my actual weight/inches come more from other activities. I also tend to tack on a few minutes of extra stretching at the end, as I really don't feel the cooldown is long enough for me!0

I log it as 30 min because i do some cardio and extra warmup stuff during the intro while the DVD is "warming up" and while she's talking at me. It's definitely a tough workout, but it works!0
