To all the Mommies! I am almost at my goal weight about 5-7lbs left. But my tummy isn't getting tighter:/. I am short 4'11 and I have a 20 month old son who was 9.5 lbs at birth! So you can imagine the damage there lol. I don't have major stretch marks, but my tummy is wrinkly and loose. Will this ever go away? I would like to be confident in my 2 piece again:/

I think it can go away, you just gotta work hard girl. I have had 2 kids am a shorty too (5'1") and have lost all my baby weight. I did have the extra loose skin (still a little) but its takes alot of core work to tighten that back up. Think about it - it took 10 months to stretch it out, its not gonna go away over night!! But focus on Core work and you can shrink it and tighten it. Running helps me, too. You just gotta want it bad enough!! pregnancy weight/skin is stubborn!!! good luck :-) add me if you want !

It gets better over time. Perfect and completely smooth? No.....but definitely better. I've had 3, and my youngest is 2.5. I'm one of those that doesn't look preggers from the back, but I turn around and whoa! baby straight out the front. :) I'm like you, I didn't get many stretch marks, but my skin def stretched. I rock a bikini and don't give a **** that my skin isn't "perfect". I know I still look great! ;) (What am I trying to hide, anyway? If the little bit of imperfect skin doesn't give me away at the pool, the little munchkins following me around are a dead giveaway!) =D Good luck! Sounds like you've done awesome and will be rocking a bikini in no time! :)

i have palmer's firming butter. it smells like coco butter (kinda strong coco butter) and is kinda pricey. BUT it works miracles! i started using it IN the hospital after i had my son and the only way you can tell i've had a baby (if you don't see him with me) is by the faint stretch marks on my belly. i swear by the stuff.

EDT: i'm 5'1" and weighed 169 when i gave birth. and i was ALL belly. i couldn't see my toes by time i was 5 months pregnant. i was stunned by the results after using the stretch mark lotion while i ws pregnant and still getting horrible stretch marks, but it was a gift and it's always worth a try so i tried it and i <3<3<3 it! i STILL have a bottle and i STILL use it even though my skin doesn't sag at all i wanna keep it from starting with my weight loss. my son is 19 months.

I am in the process of finding out myself but from what I have heard and been told if you loose the right precentage of body fat the skin will over time shrink back, I have so fa been using dermaoil(similar to bio-oil just cheaper) on my tum and thighs and hips and it is so far working for me in tightening things up....my skin is really bad with stretch marks (see my blog pic from when I started http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/jaybee25) and It doesnt look that bad now after a few weeks.Try to include strenght training inwould be a sugestion if you dont already and a good core workout to tighten everything back up.In extreme cases ( I mean bad) aparently it can take a couple of years to get back. But as will see mine is pretty bad and I'm doing okay so far :) hope this helps a little
  • Thank you ladies! Feel free to add me. I definitely need to start running and finding some more core workouts. I have te Insanity DVD set I need to get on that as well:)
