DO NOT DO IT, KELLCH! *clears throat* I mean...it'd be great to have you. Snow is great. The wind is awesome. The occassional ice storm just rocks. The cold from November to April is really...just simply wonderful. Living here is like a dream...an icy cold, dream. Not that there aren't WORSE places to live in terms of cold & snow, but I'm not built for the crap. I would much rather winter be about 2 weeks long. Is that an option somewhere?

We only get about 2 weeks of really cold weather here........I mean it gets cold at night from November thru February but averages 50 to low 70's during the day other than those two weeks. It does get cold here but nothing like up there.......I just wanna be close to friends and family again. It sucks being down here with no one   other than my fiance...and though I love spending time with him...ummmmmmmm I need my girl time and my family time too.....especially when we start having kids after the wedding.....:drinker: That and there is no more vacation during Christmas week in this office so I refuse to go the rest of my life never spending a Christmas with the family, ya know? :ohwell:

I'm in! Not that I"m your family or your friend IRL, but I'm in! LOL My dh had the chance to relocate to Anderson, SC a couple years ago & we passed b/c of lack of friends & family down there so I can understand. I hope you have luck selling the house!

Yeah, um, selling the house, that's the fun part :grumble: Not sure it's gonna happen. Our neighbors had theirs for sale for a loooooooooonnnnnnng time. No luck, but they had to go, they just had their baby and she couldn't work and they said if they didn't do something someone was probably gonna come take the house from them. And they wanted to move back up to Massachussets to be near their family. He works at FedEx and they told him he needed to start in Jan. So they had to sell to an investor and lost a lot of money but at least their credit is still ok and they can go home. But now they'll be paying on a house that isn't theirs. So kinda sucks but gotta do what ya gotta do I guess. That would be our last option. But if we have to, we'll do the same thing.

Of course, we have to wait til a position opens at the Swift terminal in New Boston MI first (25 miles southwest of Detroit). One of us has to have a job up there before we move. And Swift will move our personal belongings for free sooooooooo we're waiting. As long as there is no opening, we will leave house on the market. If there is an opening, we may have to go with an investor. We'll see.

Oh kellch, normally we don't have this much snowfall until the middle of FEBRUARY! Think we're going for a record this year. There's so much snow in the yard, I can't even see the light up reindeers?! Yikes!
