I have not worked out since mid June and I want to start running 3 days a week again. I was running 25 minutes 3x a week and I need to start again. What would be the best way to get back into running so I do not injure myself? I have gained about 12 pounds since June So I am going to start eating better... NO FAST FOOD!! And start running again then check my weight again in about a month. Does anyone have any suggestions?? Is there a healthy way to detox from how I have been eating which is fast food at least once per day and have been drinking a large diet coke everyday and I used to just drink water and green tea. I'm getting the motivation back I just wish I hadn't waited until I gained so much weight back. Ahhhhhhhhhhh :grumble: HELP!

Just start running again. 25 minutes should not cause an injury.
Just start with lots of veggies and LOTS of fiber for a few days. Helps me0 -

I agree to just start running. Aim to move for 25minutes. Start off running and if you need to walk, walk and catch your breath, then run a little bit. Just move that whole time and you'll be back to running the full 25 in a few weeks. As for the food, I would try to drink as much water as you can and add in some healthier options. I'd also think about why you ate so much fast food. Do you need to start packing your lunch for the day, making dinners ahead of time, carrying some healthy snacks with you?? If you think about those things hopefully you can get back into making better choices quickly.0

I got into the fast food habit again because we moved out of our apt and into a new house and I wasn't seeing any weight loss because I was so stressed out. But now I am ready to start again. I started my journey at 210 after having kids and am down to 157 its been a long journey. I was down to 143 but with the move and all the bad choices I was making and lack of exercise I gained weight back. I always made it a point to pack my lunch it really helps me stay on track. Thanks for the advice.0
