Should I change my daily calorie allowance?

Hi,
I've decided to change my daily calorie limit from 1200-1300. This means my weight loss will be slowed to .5kg per week. I've been sitting on a pretty big plateau for a few months now but am very close to goal weight. Maybe this will mix it up and it is closer to what I would need to be for maintance anyways. I am also zigzaggin my cals so adjusting my daily limit to 1300 means I can go under to 1200 followed by over to about 1500.
What do you guys think? Good move or bad? I definately don't want to gain!!

You won't gain as long as you're not eating more than your maintenance calories. I think it's a good move. Good luck!0

Sounds like a plan. The good thing is if it doesn't work for you, you can change it.0

You'd have to be pretty small and extremely light for 1300 calories to exceed your base metabolic rate, so I think you're safe! If you are close to your goal, then feeling really good about yourself is probably more important than those 100 extra calories!0

Since you don't have much to lose I would actually suggest a weekly loss goal of 0.5 lbs. As the less you have to lose the smaller your deficit should be. this ensures you lose a higher % of fat, vs losing muscle, and helps get you ready for maintenance. Once you get to the last 10-15 lbs your weekly loss goal should not be more than 0.5 lbs for these reasons.0
