Non-abdominal exercise Help please!!!!!

My dr has cleared me to work out but I am not a loud to do any abdominal exercise (due to surgery 6 weeks ago only 1 week 6 days left till I am all the way back). So back to my point, I need some exerise's that I can do without straining my stomach to much pretty much everything I have been doing before involves using your core so I am totally stomped can you guys please help me come up with some ideas?

I did start my c25k over yesterday and did ok but we all know running does use your abs and I dont want to overdue it to much.

    Hm... I don't think you can avoid using them altogether because just about any movement is going to use your core in some sense but maybe just take it easy with any movement that involves bending (like deadlifts) or twisting (like speed walking).
    Maybe call your doc to get more specific instructions so you're sure not to hurt yourself?
