Something that surprised me is how easy it is to cook fresh veggies at home.. which can taste delicious. I love blended butternut squash, corn, and sweet potato the best. Weight Watchers have a great cookbook, and so does Hungry Girl.

I've started clean eating. Feel free to message me or add me as a friend if you have any questions! It's a lot about staying away from processed foods, lots of whole wheat and grains, fresh fruits, and veggies, chicken minus the skin, etc

    Good Luck!

There are a lot of definitions of "clean eating" some very extreme. Generally it refers to eating most foods that have not been altered from their natural state. This doesn't mean you can't peel fruit or veggies, or eat whole grains that have been threshed. But avoid pre-made packaged foods, which generally have a lot of sodium. Stay with fresh natural ingredients and prepare your meals.

Hungry Girl does not eat clean though. She uses a LOT of processed foods.

The easiest way to eat clean? Ditch most processed foods from your diet. Shop the perimeter of your grocery store and load up on lean protein, fresh fruits/veggies, whole grains, lean dairy and healthy fats (nuts, olive oils, avocado). If I can make it myself, I do. Very little in my house comes out of a can, jar, or box.

Read your labels. Processed foods with no additional additives are still OK: frozen fruits and veggies, brown rice, dried beans and canned tuna are a few things that come to mind. If you can't pronounce an ingredient, or don't know what it is, look for other alternatives. I do allow myself some convenience foods like canned tomatoes and black beans, soy milk, etc.

The cleaner you eat the better you will feel. And you will also find that you are satisfied on less calories due to the increased nutritional value of your food.

Did you mean to say that Hungry Girl "does not" eat clean? I have used a couple of her recipes here and there, but I don't like most of them because she uses a TON of processed foods, which I try to avoid.

Fruits, veggies, beans/legumes (no salt added if you buy them canned)
