New to MFP

Hello Everyone! I signed up for MFP at the end of June and I was really surprised at how many calories on a regular basis I consumed. I have always been a person that walks at least a half hour a day, usually it's an hour but sometimes I cannot get the other half hour walk in. I thought I was eating healthy and found out once I joined MFP that I really was not and was consuming more calories than I truly needed which is were the extra weight has come from. I want to return to a healthy weight and lower my BMI into the normal range. I have read others success stories and I hope that one day I too will have a success story to share. The MFP site seems to have friendly and supportive people and it cannot hurt to have people like that in my corner as I attempt to reach my goals! :smile:
