Good luck. Its hard, but we can do it. I celebrate my 58 birthday next month and feel I need to lose weight to be around to see my (future) grandkids. I wish I only needed to lose 50 lbs, but I put this off way too long. My current goal is to drop 90 lbs. But I am not loking at the 90 lbs as a goal. My goal is to lose some weigh every week. If it is only an ounce, it is still better than what I have been doing the last 25 years. Good luck.0

You have taken your first step in acknowledging that you need to lose weight so good on you - I too just started this week and wow once you start filling in your food diary you soon realise where all the calories go, unfortunately today I am already 291 over oh dear so no more drink for me tonight - the best part of this site is that there is always someone on line that you can talk too and help you through the difficult moments and hopefully the brilliant moments wont be to long to follow - good luck, I have sent you a firend request and together with the mfp family we will all achieve our goals xx0

Welcome! I have found that this website is there for you, but you need to be there for yourself. You have already done the first step by joining! Get some good friends, and lean on each other. I myself have been back and forth on here for months, because I have a hard time with the calories. But I keep coming back and trying, and my MFP friends are here to welcome me back with open arms every time. Feel Free to Add Me!
I'm 28 and am 87 lbs overweight. So it is about time..0 -
Welcome! You should find that with this site it makes things SOO much easier. Especially when you make your food diary public! I know I was totally embarrassed when i screwed up and ate taco bell yesterday. I was thinking to myself. " i can't do that again. EVERYONE is going to see that!" just stick with it and don't think of it as a diet. Its a lifestyle changes. It's good for you, it's good for your health.. Have fun! And you can do it! If you need anything im here.0
