She doesn't look it---she says she doesn't feel it---and she definitely doesn't act it. But Utah's Erna Huck is 100 years old, and is still hitting the gym two or three times a week.

"Most people are not active enough," Huck told 2News. Dressed in a peach top and cream colored slacks, the poised centenarian spoke to us at the Holladay Lions Recreation Center, where she works out among people young enough to be her great grandchildren. "You have to be active."

Thursday, Huck walked the treadmill for up to 25 minutes---with no labored breathing---before heading to the pool. She tucked a floatation tube under her arms, did light swimming, some brief water aerobics, and socialized with friends. It's the latest exercise regimen for a woman who hiked and biked much of her life, and went skiing into her 90s.

Here's another, about a 98 year old lady:

This is just an excerpt... "Just two years before her 100th birthday, Sensei Keiko Fukuda has become the first woman to achieve a tenth-degree black belt—the highest rank in the martial art and combat sport Judo. Fukuda is now one of only four living people who've earned the tenth-degree (or dan) black belt. To put the accomplishment into better perspective, throughout history, only sixteen people have ever achieved this honor."

    Great story!! :)

I really thing the key to being able to stay active into your old age is staying active all your life. My grandpa bought a big screen tv in his 60s and barely moved from it. Now he's 89 and can barely walk. Granted, I still consider myself very blessed to still have him.

thanks for sharing....one of the things on my "bucket list" is to ski free.... many resorts let you ski free if you are over 75 or 80...I plan to do this.....mfp is going to help me achieve that goal....
