question about meals / after work out (i think)

So I usually work out pretty late since I work late. The problem I have is by the time I'm done Its to late to eat and I'm not super hungry. I feel like all of my meals are mor like snacks besides breakfast since I havnt had time to cook dinner. An example is today I had Strawberries for lunch lol. That is a really roundabout way to get to my question. Is it bad that I'm only having a protein smoothie in place of dinner? And should I have more of a meal for lunch or is having like cottage cheese and fruit ok?
Edit- I just need to know if protein needs to be the center of each meal every day. Should I just grill chicken breast and bring it with me so I can have it with my lunch? What I snack on is always pretty healthy. I stay away from crap food as much as i can or if i do eat something that isnt in my "diet" I dont ever eat a lot... should i cut down on the snacking and try to get in more "real meals" with protein and veggies. And should I stop with the protein shake after work out and go cook really late at night (I'm usually not even hungry)?

I agree with the above poster. But I will add that you should always make sure you get enough nutrients. If you think your not getting them add multivitamins to your diet!0
