I went to a dietician today since my job pays for it. I went over my food and exercise diary. She said I had about the best diet I could have, there was just a few tweaks that could be made. She said to try to get back to eating the basics, the fewer ingredients in the food, the better. I also took that test that tells you what your metabolic resting rate is. Mine was low! I have reached a platua on my weight. It is very discouraging. It was nice to know that I am eating almost as healthy as can be. I am eating 1350 calories per day and exercising 30-60 minutes 5-6 days a week (lifting weights, running, walking, biking). Anyone else have suggestions on how to break this stage? I have already tried eating whatever I want for 4 days (while on vacation). I gained 5 pounds!!!

What if you went somewhere between eating only 1350 calories and eating whatever you wanted - maybe like a consistent 1600 would help? I've heard if you are at the end of your weight loss (ie, already in the "healthy" BMI range), you have to start eating more in order to have your body think it will always have enough food, so it will eat the remaining fat stores (which you then add right back through your exercise) instead of lean body mass.
My suggestion would be to see if you can do a consistent 1600 for two weeks with no cheat days and see if that breaks your plateau by the end of the second week.
Also, maybe mix up your exercise routine a little? Add HIIT, or if you already do a lot of HIIT, try adding some more steady-state cardio and some weight-training-only days?0
