Good morning, all!:flowerforyou:
Still fighting a cold, but doing pretty well. It hasn't totally gotten me yet!
Went to the gym this morning. Did 15 minute warm up on treadmill. 30 minutes with the weights. Took it easy with 15 minutes on the elliptical instead of my spin class. Hopefully will feel well enough tomorrow for spinning.
Since I didn't spin yesterday, had less calories to work with, but I stayed within my limits. Yeah!
Today will drink plenty of water.
Stay within my calorie limits which will be a little lower without the spin class.
How are you all doing?
Bobbie

I did it!!!!! I reached my one pound goal (that was set for Friday!)
I'm over my mountain! :drinker:
Today's goal.
STAY ON TRACK! So I'm making another .5 pound goal for Friday.
I'm also going to try to hold my snack off til 11am. Normally I take it to class and eat it before class (10:00am) and I'm starving before I get out of school at 1:30pm.
Hope you guys are feeling as good as I am this morning! Sorry to all those who are getting sick!0 -
Well done you two: flowerforyou: , wish I had the same energy  , I have got an awful virus  that has laid me low for more than a week now so NO excercise, suppose that helps because then I don't want to eat as much and lost 1lb in three days even after drinking about 5 pints of water a day. I believe that drinking water helps to get rid of the toxins caused by viruses?.
Anybody have any proof of that?::sick:0 -
Hi all, today is my day off this week, so no working out for me today.
So, I want to stay away from wheat, drink water and take my vits to fight this cold thing that keeps just about hitting me. I feel like I'm just barely fighting it off.
Oh, and I'm logging calories again. More for a check of what I'm eating than a restriction of it, but I'm concerned because I've gained about three pounds from a month of not logging. I think I need the portion control/awareness of logging for now, what with the holidays and the stress of the current situation I find myself in.
Take care of yourselves!:flowerforyou:0 -
I'm finally back. First, kudos to those up north that can stick with the exercise program and not hibernate. I've seen enough snow to last the next couple of years - there wasn't a day that there wasn't snow on the ground (it usually only snows or ices every few years here). I never wanted to go outside, though I had grand plans of building a snow creature, before I left. I did exercise everyday (some sort, anyway) and didn't gain any weight. It's going to be close to 80 degrees today and sunny    . Oh, the sun only came out once the entire trip (except on the train when you would rather not have it).
Took me a while to read through all the posts. I only looked once at the posts and didn't sign in. Good to see lots of new people though.
Today is bike ride, yoga, and weights. The weights are going to be tough after so long an absence. I got asked to sub yoga for the next month and a half every Sunday - so it will be like having my own class.
I played the Wii Fit while in London. Not impressed. While the hula hoop was fun, the yoga wasn't right. The trainer did warrior 2 wrong - her knee was going past her ankle - very bad form. Also, you are supposed to keep this little red dot inside a yellow circle for your balance - of course, if you look at a moving red dot while trying to balance, you will come off balance. So I won't be buying one anytime soon.
Happy Workouts all!
ps - update on kitty - all tumors removed - no further treatment necessary, except watching for further growths - yeah!0 -

Glad you made a safe return Mary... 80? :noway: Sooo jealous, you can have our high teens this morning! Supposed to make it into upper forties today, so might get in a run for a change!
Doing a plyometrics lecture today, so will be doing them over & over to teach the students. I hope i can walk tomorrow! Then going for run after class. Pick up munchkin early and go home to clean and put up Christmas tree! Ian is soooo excited!
A bit sore from upper body lift yesterday, but nothing some Aleeve can't handle! Had a horrible calorie day yesterday (pizza buffet for lunch) so I will stay on track today.
Hang in there Viv, strike has to end sometime!
Prayers all around please as Mark is in surgery right now (FIL is having stage IV tumor removed)

Hey guys, plan for today is Cardio, Core Cardio, and Abs. Trying to keep my eating in check, but I really need to get to the grocery store. No milk, no bread, nothing haha. My college classes started back up again today....Accounting II and Composition II. Fun fun! Can't wait to just get my degree and be done though!0

Hi everyone,
This has been a really rough few days for me. My diet and exercise have gone completely out the window. I was planning to get back on my push ups but that's out too. I wasn't going to say anything but you all are my friends and I know you will pray for us. We got home from our trip on Sunday. I was on day 45 of my cycle so I took a test Monday morning and it was positive! Two hours later I started spotting for about an hour. I have been cramping for about two weeks (whenever it was that I said AF came a couple of weeks ago, but I just spotted and stopped). I stopped spotting for abut 36 hours, then I was bleeding lightly last night and it stopped again within 30 minutes or so. I am not cramping constantly, just off and on. Anyway, it's frustrating because I'm sure I've gained at least 5 pounds back as my jeans are really tight, and I've been eating junk since I haven't wanted to be on my feet long. I just feel kind of miserable, not knowing what's going to happen. So this week I am kind of on bed rest as much as possible. I should call my doctor and see if they have any suggestions. I know there's nothing they can do if I am miscarrying. It's just going to happen when it's time. But I may not be either. My emotions are up and down. I really need prayer. Thanks.
Mary I am glad you are back. I missed you!
I'll check back in with you all and let you know how things are going.

Hi again,
Here's the update. I called the doctor and I am pretty much on bed rest for several days. Never been on bed rest. At first I was like, "I get to be lazy!' but I realize laying around is going to get old really fast! I have also been eating all the wrong things. She said no sugar, sodium, soda, fast food or boxed food because they are inflammatory. I've been eating all that stuff lately. She said not to lift anything heavier than a fork. Uh, I have a 3 year old. Is that possible? She said to eat mostly natural foods like, fruits and veggies, none of which I have in the house because I need to go to the store! My in laws could have stayed another day but I didn't think they needed to. Now I'm thinking they should have because then at least they could go to the store for me. I was going to clean up my eating starting tonight anyway, but I don't really have the food to do that. We aren't telling my family yet because I wanted to surprise them at Christmas and make sure this baby is actually going to stick around. We told the in laws because I was already laying around. I'm just kind of overwhelmed I think and not sure what to do with myself. Anybody have any tips? And I'm hungry. I don't want to be hungry. Help!

Hey! Good day today. I stayed within my calories even with less exercise calories to use. Still fighting off the cold. It hasn't gotten any worse, which is good. Drank plenty of water. Going to bed early tonight. Hope everyone had a great day! :flowerforyou:

I'll be thinking about you, MM. :flowerforyou: It is a tough day for that today - a co-worker of mine's wife had been on bed rest for awhile and finally got off it as she entered the 8th month of her pregnancy a few days ago... she delivered this morning... but the baby passed away later this afternoon. They have two other small kids and I can't even begin to imagine what they're feeling or how to help... but if you guys have thoughts or prayers to spare for them, I would appreciate it.0

CP,that's SO sad about your coworker and his wife. I prayed for them. That would be so hard to deal with!0
-
Thanks, Melissa. He is such a nice guy and they have already had more than their share of tough times. She gets to come home tomorrow so at least they can all be together as a family.0
