    Yes eat them.
No it's not defeating the purpose because the purpose is to create a deficit, which MFP already factors into your calorie allotment for the day BEFORE exercise. The program is just adding the ones to keep you at the recommended calorie deficit.

I was thinking that same thing. I don't quite understand it and I am a little afraid of it. I think I will just stick to what I know. Baby steps. I am not very brave :blushing:

For the record, I dont eat them. I changed my goal calories to 1500 per day, and I normally burn 500 per day. I dont go over the 1500, regardless of exercise.
1 day per week I do have a "cheat meal" that I log, and that day I usually do 2000 cals.

Hope this helps and doesnt confuse you more.
  • i have myself set at 1200 a day and have stuck with it so far. i havent felt food deprived but it is still early only on day 3. i am so excited to lose this weight i think that will get me through for awhile anyway. thanks for all your help guys:grumble:
