I wanted to do a colon clenase and I"m wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a good one. I prefer somehting where I take a pill rather than going on some crazy liquid diet. That just dosn't appeal to me at all. Lol. Please give me all your suggestions!

I've never done it, so I don't have any good suggestions. I do have advice though: Do NOT use ALLI!

Taken several nutrition classes.. all of which say that there is no point to do them because there is a naturally occuring probiotic that keeps your colon clean. And some of the cleanses out there can even do away with those causing infection for a time.

Thanks for the info! I guess I'll just make sure I keep hitting my fiber goal and see what happens

What are you needing? Perhaps there is an alternative means to an end?

Wait until you turn 50, see your doctor, get your colonoscopy scheduled, take the prep. You will notice there won't be any retained meat, gum, etc - nor will there be any thick "lining" consisting of undigested food. You will lose a couple of pounds during the prep and then gain them back the next day. All water weight.

(RN working in gastrointestinal area for years & years & have had my colonoscopy)

I like this one: http://www.thecleaner.com/faq.html. Its gentle and you don't have to stay near a bathroom. Good luck!

Never had a pill form work. I did clean out my system with a juice cleanse though and I know a poster above me said there was no real reason to do it...but let me tell you.... I FEEL better and I crave better foods.

I am taking one now but it is at home and I don't remember the name of it, but I take pills in the morning and pills in the evening, I do feel much better, this is a 30 day cleanse and it is suppose to cleanse the liver etc along with the colon. It is in a yellow box if that helps.

Its totally unnecessary. Your bowel is not gunked up with any debris etc- provided you aren't constipated and take fluids and fiber. Your liver is the body's natural detox unit- if anything the 'pills in the yellow box'( lol) are likely to be giving it more to detoxify! How do you think THEY get removed from your body! Why do people fall for this stuff?!
