    I've heard a lot of people talking about eating more to lose those last few pounds.

    It may even be that you can't. I've been reading a lot of research on the old concept of "set points" and you might be right where you need to be.

    The last 10 are plaguing me, too! I know I've built up a lot of muscle & that is more dense than fat but it would still be nice to see a little of the loss ;-}

    The truth is, as you get closer to goal, especially if you've been heavy for a while, you body is concerned that you're possibly sending it into starvation/flight mode - takes us back to those hunter-gatherer modes. You have to change things up to re-asure your body & mind that there will not be starvation just absolute health. For me this seems a little harder since I'm trying to remind my body that not only does it need to lose these last 10 but it's also 2" shorter than it used to be (lost some height due to back damage) so I NEED to lose this last 10 to get into my healthy range.

    Try changing up your routine, exercise times & foods that you eat - good luck !

    Check your body fat- it might be you are already at a good point. If not, stop looking at the weight and start working on getting the body fat lower with strength training. 8.6 stone with lower body fat will look much more fit than 8 stone with a higher body fat.
