Hello ladies,
Silly question but
Has anyone found it harder to loose weight during your monthly cycle. I'm just checking because I feel like this week hasn't been as successful as I wanted it to be. I'm doing everything the same as before but the results are not as good this week. Has anyone experienced this or is it just me.

yes! I feel like doing nothing when it's that time but I try to at least walk. The hardest part is the bloating. I never weight myself because of it. I wait a few days after then check
  • Definitely not a silly question! I rarely lose weight the week before and during my cycle. I usually try not to weigh myself, test my body composition or anything like that during that week-just try to maintain it and see how you feel when it's over. Typically, a day or two after my cycle ends, my body lets go of all that water weight/bloat and I feel all svelte and sexy! So don't worry too much about not seeing results that week because it'll show soon enough.

Idk that I struggle with losing weight, but I sure
get the munchies (for the first day or 2) like nobody's business when
TOM is around. So I'm careful to have good stuff in the pantry/fridge.
And if what I eat raises my sodium I drink extra water to compensate for it.
I have gone over calories a time or 2 on those days I get the munchies
and I feel like I've failed for that day, but I get back on the horse the next day.
I do sometimes feel like taking an extra day off from exercising BUT
I remember that exercising lessens cramping pains. Plus it helps with tension & stress.

I know how you feel. It sounds crazy, but I weighed myself everyday for a month so I could track the weight gain from my TOM and not freak out every few weeks. This way, I knew what to expect. I actually start gaining about a week before I start, then, two days after the end, I've usually lost all that I had gained, and then some if I stuck to my diet and exercise. Since I know when and how much I gain now, I can stave off the panic and remind myself it's just water weight. It usually gain 2-5lbs, depending on how much salt I've been eating.
