Dont give up EVER

My name is Donna and I am no stranger to diet and exercise. On June 8th 2009 I started my weight loss journey at 320. Today, 26 months later I weigh 190. I am still not at my goal weight of 165 but I am not giving up. It has been a long journey to get to this point. Not just through diet and exercise but self discovery. I have learned so much about myself. I am stronger physically and mentally than I have ever been in my life. My entire live I was over weight. I graduated high school at 217 and 275 when I got pregnant in 1999. I had never been one to exercise and until I started this journey, I was never one to diet. Prior to this I had only been on a diet 4 or 5 times. It was just easier for me to make jokes about food and my weight. That is what I did to cope tih tthe morbid obese stage I ahd let myself get into.
I was lucky, I had not developed any health conditions due to my weight. The turning point for me was that I was not able to get health insurance because of my weight. My husband has his own business so we have to carry private health insurance. No one would insure me. I spent 6 weeks angry and scared then I decided it was time to do something about it. This was the best thing that could of ever happened to me!
I just want everyone to know that this is a journey worth taking. Dont give up, meet your goals. You will slip up. I do every now and then. We are human and I dont think depriving yourself is the best way. With every small goal set and met you will feel so much happiness. You will truly discover who you are, you will live the life you were born to live.

That's great, congrats on your success. And thanks! It's always good to hear "Don't ever give up" because sometimes discouragement does come, especially when you know you've been eating well and exercising but the scale somehow fails to reflect that! >.< But this time I decided that a setback is no reason to go all the way back! (: Good luck with the rest of your journey!0
