Hey ladies!!! Here we are at Week 3. We have lost and gained, but we are still going.....Just know that if you are having problems day to day getting your points, or you can't post one day for some reason, just let me know I would like to hear from all of you everyday Together, we can do this!!!! OH---and let me know what day you girls wanna rest...Thursday again???
Just a recap of how the scoring works::::
QUOTE:
In case anyone needs it - the spreadsheet that shows the teams' progress is here:
https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ArutZf2a6Ry5dEFsN0ZFOENrd3hjWEJJTHdUVkxxaHc&hl=en_US#
^^^^There are different tabs at the bottom of the screen. One for the overall progress, one that just lists the players and team names and one that shows the challenges for the week.
Just a reminder:
For every 20 minutes of cardio that you do - WHATEVER IT IS - you will earn 10 points; as well as 10 points for the exercise challenge & 5 points for the nutrition challenge.
Each team will choose what day they will be resting. This means that none of your workouts for that day will count toward points. Instead - on that day - your team will earn points by drinking water. Each cup of water that your team reports for the day will be worth 10 points, up to a team max of 500 points (or 50 cups). The nutrition challenge for that day will also be up for grabs, but not the exercise challenge. So, on whichever day your TEAM chooses as rest day, you have the potential of earning 525 points. Pretty big bump!!!
Captains need to let me know AS SOON AS POSSIBLE which day your team will "rest," so that I can keep track of it on the spreadsheet.
QUOTE:
There will be a bonus for the winning team each week. The prize will be ONE five point bonus. So, for the team that wins this week, if they have a day next week where they did REALLY poorly, they will have the opportunity to use their winning bonus and tack on 5 extra points.
And now that I got all of THAT out of the way!!! Here are the mini challenges for the upcoming week. Good luck everyone!!!! Keep up the good work!!!

Hey girls....here we are at week 3 and I think we need to focus on encouraging one another and just letting everyone know how we are doing day to day. Maybe that will help with the slump we all seem to be feeling lately. I would love to get all of us through it and on to the other side. We haven't been keeping our team members. I just really hope that we can keep the ones we have and help eachother become the best we can be
How is everyone today? I got up today, kind of late, but the weekends are my sleep in times I had a hard boiled egg for breakfast and did a few exercises...gonna do some walking later and maybe get on the wii0 -
Thanks for posting this thread for us soonersgirl. I agree we keep losing members but I have a great feeling about our newest member dustyhockeymom.
WELCOME TO THE GROUP Dustyhockeymom!!!!!
I love the thought of coming on here and daily posting to support one another and get some support when we need some. It only takes a few minutes of our day to let each other know how we are doing and we are all in this together.
How am I today? I like soonersgirl get up late on weekends. My hubby get up with my son and they spend some father and son time together in the mornings. My eating today was wacky...I didn't eat breakfast or lunch...but just finished supper. Chicken breast, wedges and brocolli. Thinking of having something sweet...but will save it for later today.
So far I have walked 20 mins...1 miles. I would like to get another 2 miles in today.
How are the rest of you doing?0 -
Just wondering are we keeping Thursday as our rest/water drinking day????0
-
We will make monday our rest days from now on so just count on that.........other than that I am proud of you for sticking with me Together, we can do this!0
-
Hi Panthers! Thanks for inviting me to join your group. I have a lot of friends doing this challenge on other teams and they knew I was looking for a challenge to be involved in.
Just a little about me... I started with MFP at the end of February. I am proud of how far I have come in that short time, and very encouraged by my ability to do this. I am a little ADD so I like to change up my exercise routine. I have recently completed 30 day shred, and will be starting that over again soon so I can focus on getting to the more advanced exercises rather than focusing on just getting done. I am also doing Couch 2 5K.
I will try to do every challenge, and I will always try to post on the thread. I tend to be on later in the evening during the week. I have a really crazy work schedule sometimes working 12-14 hour days, both days and nights and my son plays sports so sometimes my life gets in the way. However, I am pretty competetive, so I am motivated to do the best for the team.

We are happy that you joined us Dusty and I love to hear you say you are competitive. I also have friends on other teams. Lets kick some butt lol.
Wow you are doing awesome to lose 60+ pounds since Febuary. Sounds like you are doing some very difficult workouts. WOW amazing. You go girl!!!
Sounds like you are busy. Glad to hear that you will make an effort to post daily and keep us updated. Some of the challenges are harder than others. Just do what you can do - don't injure yourself. Some of them I can't do either.
Goooooo Pink Panthers!!!!0 -
You girls have me motivated today...I am drinking down that water Gonna try to get in a little walking in place and a few small exercises at work today....Hope you girls have a great day and I can't wait to hear how we did on our water day!!!! ♥♥♥0

Hello All... I am the newest member to the team. I am excited to be a part of this - I kept seeing everyone having the LTL siggy's on their posts. I have several friends on other teams. I just get motivated by challenges and I am really pushing to get to my 3-digit release mark, so I am hopeful that this will help give me further results. I have to catch up on what's a part of the challenge and what I need to do, but I am willing to do what I can to help get this Pink Panther team to the top! :bigsmile:0
-
I hope everyone had a good day. I was able to stay under my sodium and I drank 18 cups of water. I am going to research tomorrow's exercise tonight so I can do it first thing in the morning tomorrow. Take care Panthers.
Dusty0 -
Hello all... I have finished 8 cups of water today... not quite sure how I missed having more but as I want to get some sleep tonight, I am gonna hold off on chugging more down this late in the evening! I also was over on sodium (blame the beef jerkey - good for having a protein treat, but didn't realize early enough that sodium was the focus today).
So that means... 80 points for me
I hope I am doing that right. Too bad it wasn't a count our cardio day... I had almost 2 hours of exercise logged in today, which included 61 minutes on the elliptical, with the last 10 being all jogging! Between the elliptical and biking I was at 8 miles today! I'm feeling pretty proud tonight.
Looking at the challenges for the week and setting some reminders so that I can get in more points.0 -
you girls did great on our rest day!!! we got 515 points total woohooo for us!!! good luck to everyone today on our challenges. hope to hear great things0

Well the day is almost over and just wanted to peek in here and see how everyone is doing? How did you guys do with the challenge exercise today? I found it was ok and not too difficult to finish. I was under my carbs also...Ya!!!!! And I did a lot of walking to earn us some cardio points.
Hope you all had a great day also.:flowerforyou:0 -
I am the newest member to join the group, so just thought I would introduce myself. I am a sahm of 7, only 3 still at home they are 11, 13 and 14. I also have 5 grandkids. I love to hike, go camping, reading, crocheting and spend time with my family . I started MFP in july of last yr and have lost 77 lbs , I would like to lose at least another 23 lbs. But it seems the last month I have hit a plateau so hopefully this challenge will kick me into gear and the lbs will start flying off. heehee
todays check in
under on carbs
drank all my water
did 80 mins of cardio..........
sorry I did not get to the exercise challenge as me and my hubby went to a hot springs today and had mud baths and swam in the pool for our anniversary.0 -
Sorry... it was a bad and sad day for me. My cat Ace (15 yrs old) passed away today...
Did the exercise challenge part
Didn't stay below carbs
Didn't do cardio... unless crying counts! lol.
I'll do better tomorrow... because it will be a cardio day!0 -
Today was a good day for me...I came to work and opened up my MFP and I had heard from all of my Pink Panthers You girls did great...We all have bad days, but we make up for it later. So glad to have all you girls!!!0

so sorry to hear about your cat. My cat passed away about 4 months ago he was 17 and we had had him since he was 6 weeks old. It was so so sad. My heart goes out to you, it is so hard to lose an animal they become part of the family.......0 -
I wasn't able to check in yesterday as it was a crazy day with working days and overnights. I did sent my stuff in to sooner though. I did the exercise challenge but didn't do any more exercise. I was litteraly doing those at 10:30 at night in my pjs while my hubby waited for me to come to bed, but then I got called back to work so I barely got those in. I wasn't under in my carbs. That is going to be the hardest nutrition challenge for me, because I eat a lot of fruit and that always puts me over on carbs. I will make sure to get a lot more points for the team today though. i will check back in later.
Dusty0 -
Hey Panther! I hope everyone had a great day. I was able to meet the nutrition and exercise challenge today and did 40 minutes of cardio.0
-
Hi Ladies!!

Awesome job ladies :flowerforyou: (pink panthers). I finally feel like we are a team now. Thanks to the new members (and us older ones who stuck it out). Group HUGS!!!!!
P.S. Sorry for your loss lombrica. It hurts so bad when we lose a pet.
Goooooo Pink Panthers!!!!!
Lets have an awesome day today.0 -
I wasn't able to stay under in sodium today. I had lunch with a co-worker and they wanted chinese. It killed my sodium and it wasn't even good. I was able to do the exercise challenge and I did an additional 20 minutes of cardio. I hope everyone else had a great day.0
-
Happy Thursday evening... welp, it's "Thirsty Thursday" in my other group so I have drank the heck out of some water today. I used to drink more water and dang it, picked that darned diet pepsi back up. UGH!! So... I am really working towards drinking more actual water. Anyway... I felt like I was in the bathroom every other minute...
Frustrating weigh-in today because it's been several weeks since my last "official" weigh-in and I only released 1.6 pounds. But it is still taking me to a lower number... so I am happy with that!
Been an overall kinda crummy day... but my best friend also came into town. That equals little exercise today... but tomorrow's numbers will make up for it! LOL.
Under Sodium -- Check!
Seated Torso Twists -- Check! (yuck!)
20 minutes Cardio -- Check!
Total points is only 25, but it is 25!!0 -
just checkin in .....looks like you girls are doing great
Under Sodium -- Check!
Seated Torso Twists -- sorry I didnt get around to doing these
120 minutes Cardio -- Check! I did alot of walking today , I love to walk
also stayed under cals.....woo hoo0 -
Awesome job yesterday everyone. I stayed under sodium and did some extra cardio (walking) for pts. But sadly I couldn't do those torso twists....too difficult but I did get a few in. I started too late in the day to get them all in. Most of the exercise challenges I try and break up into smaller amounts so I can get them all done.
Ugggg my monthly is visiting also today. Not sure how welll I will do. :blushing:
Have a great day today Pink Panthers.
Today is the beginning of the new challenge week. And for once we have all our 5 pink panther members. WHooooo HOOOOO. Lets rock it ladies.:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:
Edited to add. Awesome job on losing that 1.6lbs this week lombrica!!!:drinker:0
