Are carob chips better in nutrition than regular chocolate chips?

    I honestly do not know but I just wanna add that they taste just like it and dogs can eat them!!!

    oooo, good question...

    she's right, it can be used in dog food...

    carob is grown primarily in the meditteranean and africa, has more of a bitter yet super sweet taste, and some people don't think it tastes like chocolate at all (maybe because american chocolate is choc full of sugar, unlike european chocolates)

    i believe it has more carbs but it's really low in calories and fat

    become educated about cooking with it before hand, but there are plenty of premade goodies in the bulk section at whole foods like energy nuggets and such

    try it out and let us know what you find!

    Carob is naturally sweet and doesn't need added sugar, which is a plus for me. :smile:
