NSV: wanted to work out!

Two mornings this past week, I woke up slightly sore and not looking forward to working out. There in bed, I decided both times that I would call it quits and just not work out for the day, and keep up with my calorie/macro-nutrient goals.

As is my routine, I lumbered downstairs for breakfast, ate a heaping bowl of oats with blueberries, then sat at MFP perusing the forums for 2 hours. Typically after 2 hours, I'll go get ready to work out. And on these 2 days, by the time I had finished digesting most of my morning meal, I was READY to workout! It was an automatic response for me -- okay, brain, let's go get dressed and put our shoes on.

I felt a loss at the THOUGHT of not working out, not because I was afraid I wouldn't lose weight, but because it's something that I do enjoy when I'm in it. I LOVE the endorphin rush I get from pushing myself hard.

So my NSV is that I had a knee-jerk response to go work out -- and that's how I know that this is a routine/habit I have created to be long-lasting. I know that even after I lose the rest of this weight, I will continue to enjoy taking care of my body and mind.

I love this! When I first started working out again, it was such a task just to muster up the motivation to do it. Now, every bit of free time I get, I want to do this or do that!

Keep up the good work, you're doing great! :) x
