Running after a break..

Sooo, I haven't run since last October but I plan on starting again today. Essentially, I started with c25k, did a 5k and stopped...But! I want to get back to it, at what week or level where would you lovelies suggest I start again?

In terms of general fitness I can do an hours medium-intensive aerobics class and be very tired but not dead. So wondered if 15-20 minutes would be sufficient, or if I should break it down into ten min intervals like c25k?

Any advice/motivation would be very much appreciated. I'm *pretty* sure this post isn't a pure act of procrastination..

See how you go. Perhaps aim for week 3 or 4 but if you're finding it too easy and you have no pains or problems the next day, then go for week 5 the next time you go out. Just see how it feels when you get out there :-)

I would see how long you can run without feeling too fatigued. I had to take two weeks off from half marathon training in the spring due to an ankle strain and when I came back I just let my body lead the way and that helped a lot in finding where I should be :-)

I agree. I am the queen of having to start again due to medical issues, but when I have to restart, I just go out and see where I am at the first.....then take it from there. Good luck!

thanks all :) ok I'm officially going...will report back on how it was. I think the answer is unless you're injured, never stop!
