Hi everybody!
Well, this a.m. I am off to the strike office to write (with my team) 1500 paychecks. Hopefully the database stuff worked, and all will go smoothly.![:wink: :wink:](https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/resources/emoji/wink.png)
I plan on packing my gym clothes and trying my hardest to leave in time to go to a spin class. It's been over a month since I've gotten to one. If not spin, I'll try to get in some cardio at home before choir practice. Did I mention I don't like Thursdays? Also, the struggle to eat well continues. Yesterday I had a turkey burger (with bun) for lunch and suffered major consequences (hives and welts on my face. . .pretty. . .) later in the day, so I must stop that, seriously.
MM, I've sent some prayers out for you, hope all is well with you today.

I'm taking a break from the gym since I haven't had a day off since last Friday and I'm getting sore!
So today is going to be a HUGE challange since I'm used to about 1,700 calories a day and I get just over 1,300 since I'm not going to work out :noway:

V, hives and welts? How are you feeling today? Hope you get that spin class in. Burn some extra cals for me!
It's hard to lay around when you really don't feel that bad and you see the house becoming a mess, laundry and dishes piling up, and most of all stress on your hubby face wearing him down because he has to do all this stuff on top of working a stressful job and figuring out how to get the money to send me to a doctor. I think he's the one that really needs prayer. Ha ha.
Today I'm logging calories and eating better. That's all I can do. I hope my hubby can go to the store tonight or tomorrow night. We're running out of food, at least healthy food.
Have a good day everyone! I will be watching TV and trying to to entertain my 3 year old.

Hi, everyone!
Finally gave into my cold and stayed in bed an extra three hours instead of going to the gym. Got to get rid of this thing! So, goals for today:
A little extra rest.
Lots of water.
Stay within lower calorie range since won't have exercise calories.
ViviaKay, I'm curious. Since I just joined, I don't know what kind of strike you are dealing with, and I'm interested. Are you able to tell me about it?

I did it!!!!
I lost another .5 pounds which was my goal by Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :drinker:
I decided to weigh in today since I was logging in my foods and my sodium for today is going to be high at that rate :grumble:
Now that makes 2.1 pounds since MONDAY!!!!!!! :happy:

My trick - I upped my activity level by one and lowered by goal from 2 pounds a week to 1 pound! It looks like my body was going into starvation mode :ohwell:0 -
I'm feeling very positive. I didn't wake up early enough to exercise this morning, but that's okay. Sleep is just as important for weight loss as exercise is, in my mind at least. So I'll get my workout in after work today. I packed my lunch today and I'm feeling good! :flowerforyou:0

Hope all went well with the surgery AD. Hope MM is out of bed soon.
I missed the bike ride yesterday - I was just too busy. This is a extra busy time of year for me as I organize a huge fundraiser. It will all be over the 24th though. I won't have to worry about getting yoga in as I'm teaching the 7, 10, 14, 17, 22, & 28. I went to yoga and weights yesterday and I'm sore today. That hasn't happened in a while.
Today I'm meeting a friend for a walk. It got a little chilly last night, so I'll have to wear extra clothes. We might be able to check out the city sponsored Christmas lights as well. I might try to get some elliptical in as well.

Thanks Mary, yes, he is recovering. Not the outcome we hoped for, but he's still alive and the main tumor is out, so we''ll take what we can get!
Meissa, hang in there. My girlfriend was on bed rest after a month and a half through until the birth, so I understand. If money is an issue and you think this one isn't a miscarriage, maybe look into local places that need data entry or something done (busy work that monkeys can do) and they might pay you to do... you need something to keep your brain active or you'll go nuts. My girlfriend got to work from home (desk job) via computer and it tremendously helped her manage.
Prayers for Alex to not drive you nuts too!

I'm actually going to be able to do it! I'm staying within my calories (I get half a foot long sub from subway for dinner...and the other half for my snack tonight!)

I'm hanging in there, Renae_Nae! Luckily I made a big pot of turkey vegetable soup after Thanksgiving, so I've been eating off of that. Not overly hungry, which is good. That's probably because of the cold. Back to bed early again tonight and hopefully back to a light workout at the gym in the morning. Got to drink a couple more glasses of water tonight, too. At least I've been feeling well enough to get to work, and have been able to not fall behind. I've been going through a lot of kleenex, though! Take care and we'll feel better soon! :flowerforyou:

Hang in there, MM. I'll save room in my thoughts for both you and hubby! AD, glad your FIL(?) is recovering. Viv - ick! Stay away from that wheat, seriously - it sounds like your intolerance is getting worse. Rach, I agree that sleep is important - I've been having a hard time getting enough lately, and it keeps making me want to eat junk food! Bobbie, get well soon. Renae, good job on planning ahead.
Mary, sorry I forgot to welcome you back yesterday. Welcome back!!!! :happy: Not hibernating is becoming my daily challenge. On top of everything and being busy at work, I have only managed to get to the gym once this week. Arrrgh! I had to work late and missed Zumba tonight. :grumble: I think I am going to have to get some more cardio DVDs for home - I mostly have circuit training type ones, but some of that is too much on top of the pushups. I am considering starting to log my calories again because I feel like I am losing control here.
OK, I really need to work on my project. Night, all!0
