We are on our second kindle (they don't like being stepped on....), and am happy with just the wi-fi. Once you download the book it is on the kindle, so you only need wifi when you want to purchase a book.
I, too, was skeptical - but I LOVE it!
One note - our library offers ebooks, but they are not compatible with the kindle. Darn.0 -
Another Kindle fan.... I LOVE mine. I live out in the sticks with no WIFI...so I just download to computer and transfer to my Kindle. Very easy.
Also, my first Kindle got accidentally "slept on"... argh... But Amazon replaced it in TWO DAYS - no questions or anything. They were glad to do it. I just had to send the old one back. She even tried to put the books back into the new one, but didn't work so gave me some Amazon credit.
I love AMAZON!!!0 -
I think I'll go with the Wi-Fi. lol0
