Success with eating more to lose more

I have been pretty successful since starting to change my lifestyle in February. However, the last month my weight loss had slowed way down, which was counter intuitive since I was working out harder, including doing 30 day shred and C25K and I was consistently under my calorie goal. I was getting really frustrated.
So I spent some time going over all my reports since when I started on MFP. I was looking for trends. I noticed that when I first started and was at 2 pounds per week setting my calories were between 1550 and 1600 and I was losing about three pounds a week and I was much more varied in my eating. As I lost and MFP suggested the reduction of calories, I was down to 1300 and I was losing less and eating much less variety.
Based on my analysis I decided to change my MFP goals to 1.5 pounds a week, which would put my calories back up into the range in which I had been the most successful. I did that a week ago. In that week, I have continued my consistent exercise routine. During this week, I have lost 2.5 pounds. This is after four weeks of losing 1 pound total.
It is clear that my body just needs a little higher calorie goal to function and loose efficently. I am so glad I looked back at where I had been and what had worked better for me. It was a little scary to make that decision and take the risk that it would be the right thing, but I listed to my body and it appears to be paying off.

Similar thing happened to me. Friends said I wasn't eating enough-that was hard for me to take since eating has never been a problem for me!!
I ate closer to my 1200 calories a day and had a greater weight loss. It is still hard for me to eat "all" of my calories. When I workout I often have 100's of calories left but don't feel hungry.
Keep up the great job!!!0 -

so glad to hear that! I'm thinking I may need to eat more but like you said it's not an easy decision, I'm scared!!! However I suppose after losing what I have eating 300 more calories a day really won't kill me in a week. =] awesome job I always feel so motivated by seeing what you've accomplished so far.0
