If you're EXTREMELY sore, I would say maybe go for a walk or do a little cardio. I wouldn't do weights because you don't want to hurt yourself. Working out when you're really sore puts you at risk for a nasty injury because your muscles haven't healed up.0

If I'm really sore - I skip a day. The way I base it? If it hurts to do basic, normal, everyday things (like sitting, standing, walking, lifting stuff, etc) then I skip it. Extreme soreness is a sign your muscles need a rest. However, if it is just an ache - I say go for it. Start slow.0

Workout the muscles you did not work out the last time. If you worked upper body then work lower body. However, I am not sure the amount of soreness you are talking about...if it is extremely sore, then I say don't push it and do some mild stretching today. Also, You don't want to push it so hard that you are too sore to workout. Make sure you warm up, cool down and stretch well the next time you do workout.0

I would still do my scheduled workout. But only you know your body and how it feels, stretch it out, maybe a half hour of yoga or just stretching. Up your protein, your muscles need it in order to recover!0

I would go for a walk, even if you can only manage a short gentle walk, to keep your body moving and then do some gentle stretches. Emphasis on the "gentle"! Only stretch as much as is comfortable. If you can do that 2 or 3 times a day until you are not so sore it should help. A warm bath might also help and if you have VERY sore muscles in places you could try ice. I hope you feel less sore soon. Perhaps to help prevent soreness next time you do weights, you could go for a walk later in the day and then have a gentle stretch and then do the same the next morning.0
