What do you guys think/know about the accuracy of the BodyBugg Vs. a regular heart rate monitor watch? Is the BodyBugg more accurate for calories burned? Which heart rate monitor do you recommend?

Thanks!

Never heard of the body bug..I'm gonna google it because I'm in the market for an HRM and maybe this is something to think about. If I get any good info, I'll certainly pass it along.

I know with the bodybugg it tracks calories all day... but you have to subscribe to the website to get the information from what I understand. A friend just go theirs and they love it. The expense is just too much for me at the moment.

    good luck

From what I understand, the Body Bug is for those who want to track calories burned throughout the day, and the HRM is mainly for tracking during execise only.

HRM are known to be less accurate in calories burned when outside of their target heart rate zones. Body Bugs are calbrated for lower heart rates.

So choose depending on how you will be using it.

Personal choice for a HRM is the Polar FT-4 or the FT-7.
