NSV - sad for a packrat like me!

I just spent 2 hours going through my closet and trying on my work clothes. I just bagged up 3 full-size garbage bags worth of clothes that are way too big for me! They will be their way to a consignment shop first thing tomorrow morning. I am sad to see some of them go as they were some of my favorites. However, I am about 1/4 of the way to my goal weight and I have no desire to ever fit in them again! The only down side I see is that I am left with about 4 dress shirts and NO dress pants or dresses left that fit me. I will have to do some shopping before the new school year starts!

sweet! I've been shopping at thrift and consignment stores while I'm in process. Some pants I bought only fit for a few weeks before it was time to move on....can't see paying retail-especially when there's such good quality at some thrift stores......I just got 3 pair of dress pants, a shirt, and 2 pairs of workout pants for just under $25 this week.
Keep up the great work!!0 -
Isn't that a GREAT feeling?? I remember when I bagged up all my "old" clothes - SO liberating!! Kudos to you for making it this far & much success as you continue "downward" toward you ultimate goal!0

That is really great that you've downsized and so has your closet. I'm looking forward to the day that I can get back into some clothes that are one size away. I really don't want to buy more at the size I'm at. But I'm sure getting tired of wearing the same things over and over. Maybe its time to hit the consignment shops to find some transitional clothes at bargain prices to get us both through!0

Can't wait until I can do the same. Great job on the weight loss.0

That is a spectacular problem to have...and better to give than to get I think...lol0

Silver lining to your clothes not fitting right?0

It's ok. The money you are spending now on clothes would have been later spent and then some on health care when you were older, but since you are getting healthy now, you will save yourself a lot of money later in life.0
