How Do You Motivate Yourself?

Not that I've hit a wall or anything, but I have considered doing something to keep me focused on why I'm doing this in the hard times when it's difficult to get my buns off the couch. Do you have an outfit hanging up in your closet that you don't currently fit into, but are striving for it? Do you have a "before" picture (that is terribly unflattering) hung up in a place you HAVE to pass and look at every day? Have you made a collage of people who are fit and hung that up on your fridge?
I'm just trying to get a good idea of what others do. Maybe you have better ideas than I do!

I have a before picture in my wallet but I also have a bathing suit that I bought several years ago that still to this day I can't fit. I was hoping for this summer but didn't make it. Summer 2012 is it. I will be graduating from Graduate School and will wear it on my graduation trip. For real this time!0

I spent some time today trying on clothes in my closet that sit unused, waiting until I get down in weight. I was able to move a few pairs of pants to the 'wear now' section of my closet. I also have my nephew's wedding that is coming up in October and I try on the dress every once in a while to see how it is looking on me. This is very motivating as I'm noticing that clothes do fit better as I tone up.
One suggestion is to take post-it notes and put one mini-goal that you want to focus on (making small incremental changes) for the fridge or on the bathroom mirror. For me, the goal is eating more fresh and frozen veggies as I still get into very repetitive and lazy eating habits. They tend to involve fewer vegetables and I really want my eating habits to change permanently through the discipline of logging on MFP. Otherwise, if I'm not changing the types of foods I'm eating and just cutting back, I'm afraid I'll be right back to mega-portions once the motivation wanes a bit.0 -
I keep jeans on top that I used to fit into, so everytime I go to wear a pair I always see them. Pictures of me years ago definitely.
And sadly, lol, I youtube before & after "thinspo" that's of normal people. basically makes me think, they can do it & so can i.0
