Try to not go crazy with the carbs and the protein if you are doing strength training it will help it.

The protein goals on MFP are waaaay too low. I go over by lunchtime!

Don't worry about it. Protein is good for an active body.

Depends on your activity level, what type of activities you are doing, and the quality of your protein & carbs; I work out quite a bit, a blend of cardio & weights and I find that I am usually over my protein. I tend to stick to the leaner protein options out there. I try not to go over my carbs but if I am eating good quality whole-grain/ minimally processed carbs then I usually do not worry. I also make sure that I eat something post workout to aid in my recovery; you have an optimal window of an hour post workout to "feed" your muscles & help them recover (this optimizes your results).

Hope I am making sense; if you'd like clarification/ more info. or just like some support, please feel free to send me a message and/ or a friend request!

I agree that the protein on MFP is very low and the carbs seem high. Remember that carbs work like sugar, so it's better to go high on the protein, but be more reserved on the carbs. Yes, there are some serious trainers who use carbs when body building or strength training, but not usually people who are trying to lose weight and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
