Hi everyone,

Well, I had an exercise FAIL yesterday. I couldn't get out of the strike office until 7:30. (Oh, and for the newbies I work for/am a student at a university, and my teacher's union is on strike. . .I work in the strike office because it's the only job I can get (I'm on a student visa) Long story short. . .nightmare! Hives are much better today. I think the physical/emotional stress of the strike combined with food stress just sent my body into rebellion. So, since food stress is all I can control, I'm going to control that.

God willing and the creek don't rise (as my wise gramma would say) today I'm going to the gym for elliptical (or maybe spin bike) cardio and weights after work.

I've taken the liberty of including all of ya'll in my daily prayers. (just makes it easier  ) Sounds like everybody is going through a time. . .on top of the normal holiday stress.

MM, I wish I could put you to work on my payroll staff! I'd even bring you groceries and my laptop in exchange for accurate data entry.

Take care of yourselves!:flowerforyou:

    Thanks for the prays!

I've eaten breakfast and I've got 3 hours before class...so I'm going to the gym!

I've already got all my food planned out with 200 calories to spare (since I'll end up wanting something that's not planned) so all my exercise calories are going towards snacks while I'm in class!

You guys have a good day...I'll be checking in later :flowerforyou:

    Good morning!
Thansks V for the prayers! You're a sweetie! I wish I could come up there and work too. lol. But I kind of think I will be getting off bed rest soon. At least I hope so. Hope this isn't TMI but I realized last night that I bleed when I strain at all! I found a midwife that I can go to today if I can borrow my neighbor's car. It's a free consultation and she said she could do some blood work to see how I am doing etc. I was fine with going last night and first thing this morning, but now I'm getting nervous. lol It would be nice to get cleared to get off the couch or told I have to be on the couch.
I need to straighten up the living room a little since the OT is coming to check on Alex tonight. Other than that I am going to take it easy...at least until after I meet with the midwife. If everything's okay and she says it's okay then I am going to get back to doing my push ups.
Have a good day everyone. I'll post later!

Hi all, thanks for the prayers Vivia, I will need them. Found out last night my mom has cancer in mutiple places. Won't know more until she sees a specialist. She has dodged many bullets over the years, lung cancer and a heart attck but at 71 I don't know how much more her body can stand. So if I don't make it here to post it is because I will be busy making plans. I live about 3 hours away so at least I don't have to fly.

Gotta go, I still have a brother to call. Work hard all of you. I will be thinking of you and will get on from time to time I'm sure.

Ok...I made it to the gym. I did all of 17 mins and thought I was going to die! I think I'm just to dehydrated first thing in the morning...so Monday I plan on waking up before 5:30am and just downing water for an hour or so and then hitting the gym. I'm not to worried about today though. I burned enough calories to up my snack for school and I'm still planning on going back this afternoon (even if I don't, I can live off of these calories I think  )

I'm so sorry to hear that Karen. Best wishes to your mom.

Renae - just read your signature and your home page - if you call them Terriers can you keep them?

Went for the walk yesterday in the cold. Tried to hit the trail of lights, but it doesn't open until the 14th - no wonder I never go see it. It's only open the 14th-23rd (not even on Christmas or Christmas Eve!) - my busy time. Maybe we'll try the walk again on the 18th.

Today, I'm hoping for some elliptical and getting lots of stuff done around the house; as well as some volunteer work done. I visit a person with dementia who lives in a house that allows smoking and my sinuses are already bothering me - but I haven't seen her in two weeks, so I should go today.

    Happy workouts all!

Right now as it stands...because we had our dogs registered on post (it's an Army base) we can keep them even though there is now a breed ban. Thankfully, it looks like we'll be staying here til my husband gets out of the Army then moving back home to Jacksonville, Fl (a very dog friendly city!). Worse case scenario we move again to a place that already has a ban in play. I love my dogs to much to risk a legal battle over them, so my parents would just keep them til we were "safe" with them again. I've seen a lot of "pit bull mixes" just be called terriers, but mine are too close to being pure breed...otherwise I would call them boxer mixes and be done with it!

Hi, Everyone! I woke up feeling much peppier this morning!!! Must have been the Nyquil and the Benadryl I took last night and Viviakay's prayers! Sounds like you are feeling better, too, Renae_Nae! Hang in there MM. Sounds like things are coming along. KJLlose: So sorry about your mom. Keep us posted.

I made it to the gym this morning and did a 15 minute warm up on the treadmill, stretches, 30 minutes weights, and then 30 minutes on the elliptical. I'm thinking I can get back to my spin class on Monday. So, for the rest of the day, the usual. Get my water in and stay within my calories. It is so good to be feeling better!!

I hope everyone has a good and better day today.:flowerforyou:

    WOW! I feel GREAT!!!!!

I did 40 mins on the tread-climber tonight! Now I have 500 calories to eat AFTER dinner (dinner was already included!) That just gave me great motivation to make it through this weekend!

    Hey all,
My appointment with the midwife went well, but I didn't like all she had to say. It wasn't mean or bad...for her. I can not do any exercise at all for several weeks (up to the 12th week and I MIGHT be in my 7th). No push ups, no walking etc. I am thinking I will limit myself to activities about 15-20 minutes twice a day, so I can do things like dishes, laundry, pick up. She said even grocery shopping is limited. I have to go to the store tomorrow. We're out of food. She also wants me to keep a journal of everything I eat for the next week and email it to her. She was really nice and very informative. She drew blood to check my progesterone levels and I should get the results by Tuesday. She's not the best blood draw-er. lol. It hurt. Oh well. She told me to drink at least 8 big glasses of water a day. No painting. So I don't know who is going to finish Alex's bed. :grumble: Hubby can't do it. He's not patient enough. I may take it down to my sister and see if she will do it for me over Christmas. She's an artist, but I don't know if she will have time.
So anyway, there it is. I am going to do my best about watching how much I eat. The midwife said she didn't care how many calories I am eating but what I am eating. I just don't want to get fat! It will be nice to have someone tell me what things I need to eat more/less of. The thing I am bummed about the most is the push ups thing. Sounds silly I know. Maybe by the second trimester I can do girly ones and still get to one hundred.
I'm done rambling. See you all tomorrow!
