Over the last week Ive been trying to increase my calories, but i've found i'm always SO full on the meals i'm eating. Its really damaging my self esteem because while i know i can't have gained any weight (i checked), my stomach is twice the size it was a couple of weeks ago, and is always in pain.

I know that it's because i've been eating small meals for so long, but i was just wondering if the amount of food i'm eating would bloat anyone else on normal sized portions compared to my previously small portions, or if i'm forever going to be feeling this full and having a sticking out stomach as its just too much food.

I'm 5'1 and 90lbs, if anyone with similar measurements could reply, that'd be appreciated.

It could be a number of things.

Is it all the time after every meal? Or is it only after some meals?
    Are you constipated?

If you are in pain, and you have had it more than 2 weeks, then go see the doctor. You could have a digestion, or intestinal gas, or even worse crohns.

You could also try a probiotic as well. I found that probiotics have always helped me.

You could try snacking on more calorie dense foods - like a slice of grainy bread with peanut butter or avocado or cheese.
Nuts are a healthy snack. Change your diet yoghurt for one with more cals - and lose the cup of mashed pumpkin! That's a lot of bulk for not many cals.
And make sure you drink enough water.

It's after every meal. And yeah constipation, discomfort in intestines generally describes it. Would crohns be developed just from increasing the amount of food you're eating? this has only started happening in the past week, and i never got like this a few months ago before i started dieting.

So putting the lack of calories aside, do you think the pure amount of food i'm eating is too much and would bloat most girls my height?

you could have any number of gastro intestinal problems.

perhaps instead of increasing the amount you eat, eat foods that are higher in calories overall.

    go see an gastro enterologist

Crohns would not develop just after a week of a new diet.

The bloating is your problem here, it could be a reaction to something you're eating. Have you introduced something new in the last week?

To get more calories in do a few swaps to get more calories in, so eat full fat yoghurt instead of diet, etc

Apart from more of everything, i haven't really introduced anything new.

I have exactly the same problem and am going to see a gastro person on wednesday, i think that they are going to see if I have chrons as my sister has it too. I do have IBS, and have problems going sometimes. i have just started to use psyllium husk and so far so good. I am quite small so seems i have only a small stomach and it feels like I cant eat a decent meal without my stomach bloating really badly every time i eat. But i have had this for years.

maybe go see your doc for tests?

If you can't look at what your eating and say that could cause it, then it probably is worth going to the doctors. Chances are though it's just related to your constipation and the doctor can sort you out in no time.
