I have whey protein powder (vanilla), and Greek yogurt.. I would love to make smoothies, since I am on the go a lot, smoothies are the perfect way to get protein, and nutrients.. I'm running to the store today, and would love to know what I should get to make smoothies?

  • Add a banana, frozen fruit, a little bit of fat free milk and ice and you got a great smoothie!!
  • Love fresh strawberries in my smoothies. Sometimes you can add bananas too.

I make an orange creamsicle smoothie. I use 1 scoop of vanilla whey powder and 1tsp of orange sf metamucil. I blend with 1 cup water and 6-8 ice cubes.

The protien/fiber combo helps me stay really full and for the whey protien poweder I get it totals 120 calories.

-Add a couple of tablespoons of ground flaxseed for extra fiber and omegas
-Frozen fruit is good to sweeten up - I find using frozen fruit makes it more like a "shake" consistency
-almond milk is a good suggestion
-Some people I know add fresh raw spinach for extra nutrients. I've tried it and didn't like it. I love spinach, but I just didn't like it in a smoothie. But it might be worth a try for you.
