A Slow Metabolism... Help!

So, I have a very slow metabolism! I try to eat less of things like carbs because of it, and I try to be active. Is there any advice for picking up my metabolism? Or suggestions on what to stay away from???

    Eating smaller meals every 2.5 to 3 hours helps fuel the metabolism 'fire'. Try to have a protein source with every meal.
  • Build Muscle and eat clean food.

    I see you're in Ormond. I'm down in Titusville. I wish you lived closer so you could come to my Boot Camp! We'd get your metabolism through the roof!

    Also, take a vitamin B-complex...it helps boost the metabolism...It will take a bit to get fully into your system but it does help once it does..I take one everyday...when I don't for a few days, I feel sluggish no matter what I do...

    My trainer has recommended that I do some sort of exercise in middle of the day at work to kick-start my metabolism: Things like doing a set of 20 squats, climbing a few flights of stairs.

    Also, the person who mentioned building more muscle is correct, as muscle burns calories much more efficiently than fat. If you haven't taken up strength training yet, you might want to look into it. There are a lot of benefits to it.

    Here is another question: for strength training/building muscle. I have 3 and 5 pound weights are they enough to do arm stuff? I am not one to go to the gym because of my baby girl. What type of things should I be doing at home??
