So its been a little over 5 wks since i started trying to lose some weight again. I weighed in today -11 lbs. I averaged it out to be 2.2 lbs a week which i know is normal and appropriate weight loss to keep it off long term but man it just seems like such a slow progress. I havent been exercising just limiting my calories to 900-1200 during the week days and allowing myself a little more on the weekends without going overboard. I even make room for my adult beverages. I know its working i am seeing some changes but does anyone else get frustrated when they see everyone else losing so much more a week and your laggin behind? A few years ago i went buck wild and lost 60lbs in a matter of 3.5 months so i guess im expecting the same results with less work. Just wanted to vent and hopefully get some postive reinforcement! HAHA!

Don 't be so hard on yourself. I truly believe that the slower the weight loss, the longer you have a good chance of getting to a maintenance weight and keeping it off. I fell off the "weight wagon" recently and back at it. I have been told by my doctor to range 1400-1500 calories a day and only lose no more than 2 lbs a week. Slow and steady wins the longtime goal.

Lets support each other through this journey to lose and then learn how to maintain.

How do you keep your caloric intake so low and not get hungry? I have set my intake at 1200 per day and I LITERALLY start shaking - I get hypo-glycemic. I am getting frustrated because I can't seem to fit into ANY of my clothes after baby #2. I did lose some weight (not all of it) but the flab around my belly is horrible. I have started working-out (starting slow, since I am up at 5:30 am and get off of work at 5:30, get the kids, etc...) but I find the HARDEST part is controling my food intake. You said a few years ago you lost about 60lbs - what did you do then that you are not doing now?

Don't lose hope! Just reading your comments really helps. I can't believe you have lost 11 pounds. I have been trying since May and have gained weight (after I stopped breastfeeding). UGH!

I have a prescription from a doctor for apidex. i only take it during the week days a half a pill and it really curbs your appetitie and makes me make the healthy choices. I try to eat a lot of protein as well. I never did eat a lot just all the wrong things. I drink a TON of water. I drink probably over a gallon and a half a day.

When i lost the 60lbs i went balls to the wall. No soda, no alcohol, no fried food, and i exercised like a maniac almost every day. I was losing around 5 lbs a week. it was insane. but i dont have the time or money for a gym membership right now so im just focusing on my food.

Hey thats what we are on this site for is to support and motivate right? Ill keep working on it if everyone else does!
