Hi Everyone,
I joined MFP 8 weeks ago and this is my story so far.
From 2004 - 2006 I was doing serious weight training, I was fit, healthy 240 lbs with good musclemass and definition, then I changed my Job, stopped weight training. got lazy and started putting on the pounds, so for the last 5 years I have slowly been getting BIGGER & BIGGER.
8 weeks ago I got on the scales and I was a Massive 323 lbs and 35% body fat !!! so I decided that it is time to change my lifestyle and get back the body I used to have.
For the past 8 weeks I have been eating 2100 calories a day, 45 mins of cardio 3 times a week, 5 weeks ago I started lifting weights again.
This morning on the scales I was 289 lbs and 29% body fat, so in 8 weeks I have lost 34lbs and 6% body fat, my muscletone is starting to come back and also I am showing some definition.
At this stage I'm not realy sure of my goal, I will get down to 250 lbs and then see, but I would like to be close to my profile picture.
I am 6' 4'' tall, large frame and still have some muscle mass from 5 years ago under all this fat. I would like to try and get down to 10% - 12% body fat.
All the best to everyone who has made this commitment to change themselves.
Please feel free to and me as a friend etc.

I hear ya! Having had it and lost it ... is very frustrating. One day you look up and go "WTF!" ... I am also in my forties on the journey back to my "warrior" self ... Good Luck! Set that execellent example to friends and family!0
