Exercise with Baby?

Okay, so I was doing my pilates tape today before DS went down for a nap which translates to 'Mommy is on the floor, lets see how many toys I can bring her and use her as a jungle gym.' He is 14 months, so telling him to go away doesn't work.

Does anyone use an exercise tape that includes baby? Or toddler I guess in this case? It would be nice to play with him while I was working out.

That is a very good idea but I haven't heard of that...my only hope of excerising is when my 16 month old son is actually in his crib asleep or getting help when my DH is home to help watch.

I'll research it and see if I find anything!:flowerforyou:

You can do airplanes... Lift him up over your head and back down... over and over...

Superman rides... lay on your back. Holding his hands, your feet support his belly, and you lift him up so he looks like he's flying like superman.

Teach him (or try, lol) to do bear and crab walks, even duck walks. Make it fun by singing Old MacDonald Had a Farm, and walk like the animal that's in the song right then.

Oh so cute!! Those are great ideas, thank you! And its something that I can do for 'extra' exercise anytime during the day. He will be my little 25 pound dumbell

When mine were babies, I'd just put them in the stroller (weather permitting) and go for a brisk walk around the neighborhood....got quite an upper body workout from lifting their chubby little selves too.
