strength/resistance training

I met with a trainer today and we worked on my shoulders and my back. I added the exercises in my exercise log. Is it safe to assume you get no credit for calories burned for these?
I was a bucket of sweat by the time I was done. He said it meant I was working hard..when doing resistance training properly, you should get a cardio workout with it. Hmmm...
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance

This!
In one personal training session I burn between 500 and 700 calories.. its a bit insane some days.0 -
Strength training and building muscle is actually proven to burn more fat than cardio alone! Building muscle revs up your metabolism, so definitely make sure to log it. Even though strength training may burn less calories according to the exercise tracker, make sure to implement weight routines into your workout schedule for more dramatic weight-loss results.0
