Hey y'all!
So I dislocated my knee for the second time a couple days ago. Im wondering if swing dancing would hurt it or put me in danger of popping it out again? If I wear a sorta support/knee brace thing i got the first time how long should I wait?
Thanks! you all look beautiful from the inside out!

I almost didn't click on this topic because seeing "dislocated knee" makes my stomach churn. I have dislocated my patella several times and I finally got surgery (ligament replacement) several years ago.
I personally wouldn't not be doing any swing dancing without pretty massive amounts of physical therapy, but that's just me. Of course, I played tennis and basketball in high school (after a couple subluxations and one dislocation) wearing a knee brace and never had a problem.
I guess my main point is -- get thee to a physical therapist (if you aren't seeing one already)!!! And do those exercises! (I ended up dislocating my knee in a pool doing water aerobics -- crazy, I know -- and I needed to be pulled out by paramedics. I could have drowned. It was scary *kitten*.)0 -

It might be totally fine provided your knee is strong and healed, but just a few days after a dislocation doesn't sound ideal to me. Then again, I'm not a physical therapist! My ligament ended up being totally stretched out and, on top of my muscular imbalance, it was going to keep happening (hence the surgery). Good to know that you are feeling up for it, though!0
