hey guys
I am 18 and in uni doing a double law degree and the stress of living on my own in a new town, not knowing many people and cooking for myself caused me to gain almost 20kg Now I have lost 10kg and have 10 more to go and am trying to have a more positive approach to life lol. I used to eat out of bordem and loneliness as i was in a new town which was much more slower paced then my home town , in a room with nothing to do.
Now I am back on track and trying to create a positive attitude towards life in general
so any tips tricks that help you maintain an positive attitude share them please :D
thanks

The people that I've encountered on this website have been very positive and encouraging. I find that if you hang around people that are positive, it really affects your mood as well so find positive friends! Also, keep yourself busy to avoid boredom and boredom eating.

I think the hardest part about dieting in university is trying not to snack constantly while studying. There's also all the convenience foods on campus that are unhealthy and partying of course. Good luck!

The biggest way for me to stay positive is to count my blessings. I find that if I complain too much, it cultivates a negative attitude. When I realize how much I'm given, it humbles me. Even if it's tiny things, try to find 10 positive things about your day:

    1) My car started and no flat tires on the way to work
    2) No oopsies or boo-boos for my kids at school today.
    3) Hubby cooked AND cleaned :)
    4) I've got good health today
    5) My pets are still with me (ages 11, 12, and 13)
    6) I received a free lunch today
    7) Hubby made it safely home from work
    8) We have food on the kitchen table
    9) There's a roof over my head
    10) My husband and I both have jobs.

Sometimes I'll think of things like - I'm thankful my eyesight is good, or my hearing works. I'm thankful I have 10 working fingers... etc... No matter how small - count the blessing and don't take anything for granted!

Too blessed to be stressed! :)
