Eating the same thing twice? PLEASE ANSWER!! :\

Hi everyone! So I pretty much love what I eat throughout the day, sometimes I eat the same thing.. Twice? Like 2 almond butter sandwiches LOL. raw almond butter though from Trader Joes! and I only use Ezekiel whole grain bread or Sara Lee 45 cals per slice whole wheat! Is it okay to eat the same thing twice in a day? Is it bad to have two bowls of cereal a day? (Kashi Go Lean) with unsweetened almond milk? Honestly, it just keeps me full and I still stay at my 1,200 calorie intake per day.
So has anyone ate the same thing twice and had success with still losing weight knowing you're still eating healthy & staying at your calorie intake limit per day? Please help! Haha, thanks everyone!!

I'd say it's okay every once in a while, but you should really add some veggies in there. Or make sure you're taking a good multi-vitamin so you still get the good things you need if you're not eating diverse foods.0

LOL, if eating the same thing twice in a day was bad for you, I'd be dead. I wouldn't worry too much about it. As long as you are getting some sort of balanced nutrition eating the same thing 2 or 3 times won't hurt you.0

I don't think it hurts to eat the same thing as many times as you want it. If you like it, and you are staying healthy, when I find something I like, I might even repeat the menu for a day or two or three LOL. Just what ever you enjoy and can stay within your calorie goal with. Enjoy!0

As long as you have a well rounded week, and are getting in fruits, veggies and protein, then I don't see a problem with it. You just need to make sure you are getting ALL of the nutirents.
God bless!0 -
I haven't sprouted feathers from all of the chicken I eat...as long as you abstain from the "Twinkie Diet"...I think your heart will keep on ticking...and you will lose weight...
I will caution you to mix it up...it is easy to get real bored with the same ol stuff for the sake of "hitting the mark"0 -
Yes I take one ultra mega women's vitamin from GNC a day! I do get fruits in, not veggies everyday but I make sure I get my protein & fiber in - I'm usually OVER! lol. But I seriously love whole grain / wheat bread and cereal!! I could LIVE off of it!!
Are there any examples of what you guys eat twice a day? Lol! Jw and thanks to everyone for the responses!0 -
Oh well as long as you take a vitamin every day, who cares what else you eat?0

i eat the same thing twice ALL THE TIME. alot of times i fix a meal and split it so that i can have half for lunch and the other half for dinner. as long as you are not going over your calories/carbs/fat..then you are fine. make sure you are getting your veggies and proteins and it's all good.0

Im not an expert but I think that successful weightloss includes variety and change within your diet. if your body is used to the same thing all the time its not going to change much. the way i look at it is how many people suggest that you change your workouts around each day and not do the same thing all the time. Also, its not a good idea to not eat vegetables. you should have at least a few servings of vegetables each day. remember vegetables are really low cal, include important vitamins and nutrients AND are fat burning foods. Even keeping in your calorie limit, you need to eat the right foods. too much bread and cereal isnt the best in my opinion. try changing it up with whole wheat crackers or things like that. You can stay within your calories eating junk but you wont lose weight effectively, or you can fill those calories with fat burning food like fruits and vegetables. many of them actuall have negative calories, where eating them your body burns more calories digesting them than you retain. I do eat things once or twice daily, but they arent the main parts of my meals, they're parts. take a look at my food diary. today i had a slice of soy cheese at both lunch and dinner, or some days i eat rye and oat crackers as part of my meal and then at snack etc.0

I work 2-16 hour shifts/week and pack the exact same thing both days. I can then just copy the days food over. I've slowly modified what the contents of the lunch box is but it's worked well for me - I have my caloric needs dialed in pretty good so I can slowly but surely drop while having enough food available to keep from cheating or go hungry. Next weeks task is to get my sodium under control! 20lbs down, 80 to go!0
