I came across this and was wondering if any of you have done this or are considering doing this. Just wanted to get some background on it before I bought the e-book (about 40 dollars).

I found this maybe a month ago and was thinking about it. But lately, I've been having a lot of stomach pains. So I think the idea of cutting out a lot of processed foods, caffeine, etc would be especially good for me right now.

I did search the forums, so I don't think I missed a previous thread. But, if this is a repeat, sorry.

This is a paleo/primal way of eating -- it goes by many different names. As of yesterday, I'm essentially doing this same thing to see if it can help my skin problems and general digestive issues. So far so good (though I have to slowly ween myself off coffee...).

Okay, I'll have to look into that. What are you using for a guide/shopping list? How do you know what foods are aloud?

Let me know how it goes.

Love this video. Saw it a few weeks ago, but sorry, not seeing the connection.

I would Google Robb Wolf and Mark's Daily Apple as I think that both have shopping lists and sample meal plants. But don't get too bogged down with the nuances of the different frameworks. Basically, the Whole30 that you linked to says what is "allowed" on that particular version: no grains, legumes or dairy, no sugar (real or fake), etc.

    Yesterday I had:
Breakfast: eggs with some steamed kale, cooked in a small dollop of rendered duck fat, half-caff coffee with some coconut milk
Lunch: a giant salad with hard boiled eggs and olive oil & lemon juice for dressing, one Medjool date
Snack: a handful of rotisserie chicken, half of a peach in about 1/4th cup coconut milk
Dinner: another salad, this time with chicken (I was at a party at my husband's work and they ordered pizza--I managed to abstain!)

So far so good. I already feel like I have fewer cravings for sugar and starchy carbs and I wasn't even eating a lot of those before this (but carbs are a bit of a gateway drug to bad eating patterns for me).

If you search the boards here for "paleo" and "primal" there are other members who have open diaries that you can check out too. Good luck and keep me posted!

I did a bit of poking around on the Whole9 site and found this helpful post: http://whole9life.com/2011/01/paleo-poor-your-guide-to-the-grocery-store/ It gives some helpful advice for grocery shopping.
