Am I pushing too hard?

I'm doing the 30 day shred (level 2 yay!) and sometimes I find myself unable to catch my breath (hyperventilating?) and my heart is literally racing. I get a little dizzy sometimes or see stars at the edges of my vision. I usually pause the workout and recover before starting again. I don't get this way at the gym on the elliptical or when I'm lifting weights. Just at home doing cardio. Should I be worried?

Ummmmm, I would have to say, yeah.

A big part of exercise is learning to pace yourself. Yes you want a challenge. Yes you want to continually keep pushing yourself a bit further. But you don't have to do it all in one day. That is just a asking for injury and:or burn out.

no. you're stopping, so you're fine. your heart rate is probably just getting too high or your dehydrated.
Try taking your pulse right after you start to feel that way.. if your in your teens or early 20s and it's in the 180s or higher. then your body is not ready for that high of intensity.
You have to work your way up to that..

Have you had a medical? I think I would if I were you. Don't mean to alarm you, but I think a racing heart with vision disturbance should be checked out just to rule out anything underlying.
